Haven’t got any speed benchmarks either. And it’s refreshing to be able to use several new devices together without any driver installation hassle! I’d write Sonnet tech support to ask about this issue. I uninstalled the Jmicron driver that I downloaded from its own site because there seems to not be any difference between having it and not. Long story short they provided excellent customer service, and the card works great in my late MacBook Pro.

It works fine but please bear in mind that it is not officially supported until Matrox release SL specific drivers.
MacBook Pro owner reports on ExpressCards
I can sleep my Mac book 2. So I powered off the OWC card and hooked my external drive up using usb2 like before and started re-downloading the same files that gave me crc errors and what do you know, all the files where good. Hopefully the unibody models are a little better sta heat dissipation, but I don’t expect them to expressacrd immune either. Third, the battery and charging circuitry is in close proximity to the EC slot.
I’d tend to doubt it affects that, but welcome confirmation.

Perhaps it’s early versions of the MBP that have trouble, as most other people seem to be fine. Hi there, I have been reading Rafal Lamberts mail which recommends leaf-computers eSata Express Cards as a solution to the desperate problem of no eSata connection to my pacie hard drives due to upgrading to Snow Leopard.
I copied both files to 10 different locations on the external and fully verified each file.
Long story short they provided excellent customer service, and the card works great in my late MacBook Pro. All brand or product names mentioned are properties of their respective companies.
If you get anything to work I would like to hear about it. Is it still functioning Rafal? IIRC it did not support port multiplier cases either.
Here’s some info about my setup: I will report if I have any issues. Lacle Disk Utility “restore” did work then.

MBP early non-unibodyosx Exprewscard have worked fine with OS No promises that this any of this will be the same for you, but here’s how the problem was corrected for me. I have a JMicron chip card only issue is it only has 1 eSata port not 2 like my Griffin card that uses the now bad drivers. So, just as ii cautionary measure, I try to ensure that the laptop is always on a cooling pad when I’m logged in to an account on the SSD.
I read in advance that some people have had problems with this scenario but I thought not me.
If you have the card icon on the menu bar, the problems may not lwcie in the card. They point me to their website for a Thus ending the battle with esata card altogether.
Snow Leopard Incompatibility With Many eSATA Cards
Lion has just been released and manufacturers needs time to make the changes. Copied another file from drive2 to drive1.
The files were located on the esata drive. I asked for more details just for the record including driver version and ext. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. But when I booted back up to my main drive it expresscaed longer worked.
